Karon Pittenger's Music Biography

        Karon Pittenger holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in music from Birmingham-Southern College and Louisiana State University.  She has also pursued post graduate studies at Eastman School of Music and Westminster Choir College.  She has over thirty years of experience teaching piano to all ages, beginners to advanced, including eight years of teaching as Adjunct Professor of Piano at the Birmingham-Southern Conservatory. She also has twenty-five years of experience as a public school choral teacher and many years of service as music director for various churches.

       A FREE INTRODUCTORY LESSON is offered to all new students.  Playing experience, technique, hand position, knowledge of music theory, and course of study will be determined.  Parents of young students are requested to attend at least the first few lessons.

    Adult and Homeschooled students are welcome.
